So my little boy has now reached 6 months (nearly 7 by the time I’m getting round to posting this). I can’t quite believe how quickly the time has flown by! The past 6 months have been the best of my life, but also the most physically demanding, the most exhausting and the most emotional! I think I’ve spent more of that time feeding my son than anything else, which got me thinking. How we feed our babies is such an emotive topic, and a really big deal for all mums everywhere. There are various options on how we do it, all of which come in for some criticism, in different ways. And we all have our own hopes and expectations for how feeding is going to go. Why I chose to baptise my son
A few weeks ago I experienced the great joy of attending our son’s baptism service. As you’ve probably guessed if you’ve read any of my other blog posts, God is a pretty big part of my life, and so getting our son baptised was a bit of a no-brainer. However, as hubby and I talked about it together, and attended our baptism preparation classes, we had the opportunity to think a little more on why it was so important to us that we had him baptised. And since my little one is currently snoozing away peacefully (after a week of refusing to nap he seems to be catching up on his sleep a bit, at last!) Looking Back
I’ve just enjoyed my first Mothering Sunday, spent in part having a Sunday roast in a lovely local pub with my husband, son and mother-in-law. We were chatting about my blog, and my mother-in-law prompted me to think about our miscarriage again, and whether it feels different now, over a year on and with my little boy in my arms.
